Open Question: Recycling Places In Louisiana.?

I live in Louisiana and theres like a lot of stuff going on about the earth and all and I just want to help out. My friend told me that there's like recycling places where you can like gather up things and drive to and they like pay you like money for it? Is there any places in Louisiana that do that?
